Visitors to New Mexico's National Parks generate millions of dollars in economic activity every year. But what happens when the lands surrounding those parks gets developed for oil and gas drilling?
In August, a public lands conservation group called The Western Values Project reported finding a correlation between drilling the lands around national parks, and decreased visitation to the parks themselves.
