First Republican Announces Candidacy for 3rd District Congressional Seat

As you’ve been hearing on KSFR’s hourly newscasts, Republican Michael-H Romero announced today on the Roundhouse steps earlier today that he’s running for Congress in the third congressional district.

Romero is a native northern New Mexican, born in Embudo and raised in the Vadito – Penasco area, before moving to Grants when his father took a job in the mining industry there. Romero later became a police officer serving in Las Vegas—Nevada, not New Mexico—among other locations, and retired from his law enforcement career there and returned home. A self-described Christian conservative who enjoys reading about U-S history, Romero faults the present state of the U-S House of Representatives.
