Climate change is affecting people around the world, including Native American communities. KSFR’s Zelie Pollon spoke recently with  Ann Marie Chischilly (Chiss- chilly), Executive Director of the Institute for Tribal Environmental Professionals (ITEP) at Northern Arizona University, who works closely with indigenous communities on environmental issues. To learn more about this work go to the ITEP website at http://www4.nau.edu/itep/. You can also google  Guidelines for Considering Traditional Knowledges (TKs) in Climate Change Initiatives and give input at any time. According to Chischilly the document is a living one, that should reflect the Knowledge of Native peoples around the country.
