The Bureau of Land Management is taking comment on the so called Pinon Pipeline, a 140-mile pipeline that would run through the San Juan Basin and Greater Chaco Canyon area. According to environmental advocacy group WildEarth Guardians, the sole need for the pipeline results from horizontal drilling in the Mancos Shale. In fact the Bureau of Land Management has already approved over 100 new fracking wells.

 
We spoke with Jeremy Nichols, Climate and Energy Program Director for WildEarth Guardians, about the expansion of oil and gas drilling and this newest pipeline proposal.
