A coalition of oil and gas fracking foes have filed suit in federal court, calling for a halt to natural gas and oil drilling underway surrounding Chaco Canyon in the San Juan Basin of northwest New Mexico.  As KSFR’s Deborah Martinez reports, organizers announced the legal action at the state capitol Wednesday, and accused the federal Bureau of Land Management of breaking the law.

Last night a bill to attract entrepreneurial students to New Mexico passed the house by an overwhelming vote of 61-4. KSFR's Zelie Pollon spoke with Fred Nathan, Executive Director of Think New Mexico, about the potential of the bill for job creation in New Mexico.

A national non-profit organization with the mission of ensuring surviving lung cancer is the expectation and not the exception is holding a fund-raising bike-ride event in Albuquerque a week fromSunday. Free To Breathe—founded in 2006—seeks to double lung cancer survival by 2022. The benefit bike rides on March 22nd will start at the National Hispanic Cultural Center. Ledger says the ride will end with a closing rally featuring speakers and live musical performances. KSFR's Tom Trowbridge has more.
